manuscript critique • editing
|
If you'd like to find out whether I'm the editor for you, send a sample
of your manuscript to me. I'll give you a free estimate and critique. What you'll get from this
sample will be mainly line edits. While this won't tell you much about
my ability with narrative tension or scenic structure, you will get
some idea of how I work and what I can bring to your manuscript. There
are some good editors out there, but we're all different. You want the
one that's the best fit for you.
Send me a Word document or .RTF file as an attachment. The length should be between 10 and 20
double-spaced pages. That's enough for me to get an idea of your voice and style, and enough
for you to see how I work. There are a few things you might tell me:
- What sort of manuscript you're working on and who you're writing it for
- What kind of critique you're looking for
- When you'd ideally like to get the critique
- Your background as a writer
- Any questions you have that this site didn't answer
I should get back to you in one or two days with any follow up questions I have and to let
you know when I can schedule your manuscript.
